Jared has this addiction to rock and roll. When Jared has no band, Jared is losing his mind. It took him a total of two hours to both get the idea to start a band and find members. This includes the time it took him to watch the bands playing at the school's Relay for Life.
After some debate about what to call the band, Helen sat herself down and played some good old fashioned Pacman on the 1970s television in her room that remarkably still works. It was then that a wonderful idea came to her: Arcade Ghost.
She called Jared who, as usual, was walking around down town at an ungodly hour. He preferred the name Ghost Arcade because of the nice ring it had to it.
It's a shame Arcade Fire was so similar.
2-Bit Ghost was next since it used to cost 2 bits to play Pacman.
Since Jared did not answer when Helen called again on account of being busy or dead, she first presented her idea to a wonderful guy named Alex. Alex is the bass player in Asking Directions to Nowhere.
The texts went something like this:
Helen: "Oh! 2-Bit Ghost!"
Alex: "Don't you mean 8-Bit?"
Helen: "Huh?"
Alex: "Like 8-Bit animation."
Then the angels sang. The obvious bite in the letter t made the name 8-Bit Ghost both fun to say and almost equally as fun to hear.
:D
It stuck.
Sadly, the two drummers before Cam could not stick around. Cam has done a pretty great job of putting up with the general 8-Bit madness though. He's a wonderfully fun guy.
Brittany, a friend of Helen's knew this guy and told Helen he was amazing. She was right. Think Sheldon Cooper but nice with really great hair, a sonic screw driver, and a bow tie. That, my friends, is Josh McNamara.
You now know the four members of 8-Bit Ghost. Hope you like the music!
