Glorywhore formed in 2007 as a side project of vancouver blues punks The Cryptos. Guitarist Steviewire and drummer Dr. Death began writing and jamming out on revved up punk rock 'n' roll
songs just for kicks. Things got more serious when fiery suicide girl Maiwan joined and the band realized they were on to something. Toronto musician Elwood, who had played on some demos for the boys, was recruited to play bass. The band began rehearsing and refining their sound. Any song over 3 minutes had to be played faster. 8 months later Glorywhore began playing live shows and quickly gained a reputation as a tight hi-energy live act.
The band has undergone a few minor lineup changes, including solo artist Ash Riot who adds extra vocals and guitar whenever her busy schedule allows.
Glorywhore has recorded a 5 song ep at The Rendering Plant studio and is hard at work on a follow up. Many upcoming shows are booked and more to come as promoters just keep calling!
