Shake hands with a driving force of progressive rock; for the five that make RedGeneral going back to their roots and reaching new heights is certainly what they are all about. A ‘get it done’ attitude is how this passionate crew has really found their ground. Influenced by Rock, southern rock, metal, punk and more RedGeneral have made a style truly unique and their own.
Here comes a collage of musical creativity, motivation and heart. RedGeneral certainly doesn’t have a limit to their writing ability; as such have come up with many tunes rocking out in the garage, strumming the guitar and realizing their inspirations individually and as a solid group, they have a ‘no holds bar’ attitude to their music, and everyone has no qualms about making comments, or suggestions to ensure the progression of their music.
Starting in 2005 with a five piece line up RedGeneral has challenged themselves to separate from other typical ‘rock bands’ by ensuring depth, dynamics and constant change of pace with their music. Equally fascinated by a ‘heavy metal’ feel to a subtle strum of the guitar and light percussion taking the audience to a different level; a different emotion. Their music is influenced by bands such as The Police, Neil Young, Alice in Chains, Led Zepplin and Soundgarden.
RedGeneral erupted into the music scene bringing impaling bass, fierce guitars, and smashing drums that will invade your emotions.
Mississauga duo, David Misserianni and Tony Ruggiero, started jamming together, which would later set the stage for what is now RedGeneral. Impressed with his driving beats, the guys brought Adam Vetter of Nobleton, on Board. In search for a rhythm guitarist Brandon Young of Mississauga was determined to show his skills to join the guys. With her powerful and knock out voice Samantha Wachtler of Waterloo joined the guys to become RedGeneral, redefined in May 2011.
RedGeneral has been in studio recording and is working on a two song demo. Red General has started out on the Indie Rock scene with local gigs in and around the Toronto area. After playing their very first show in Tottenham, Ontario Red General became stronger and more aware of how well they work together as a group and essentially, they have the same goal in mind.
