Armed with hard, catchy riffs and big vocal harmonies, Seconds From Disaster is a four-piece punk rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba who are ready to take their city and world by storm. Living in a rock-dominated city, S.F.D. has found a style to call their own. Known to play upbeat, high-energy songs, S.F.D. leaves the audience begging for more. Forming in April 2008, Seconds From Disaster is: Andrew Mitchell (guitar, vocals), Chris Mitchell (guitar, vocals) Jon “Spyder” Stanners (drums, vocals) and Luke Graceffo (bass, vocals). Combining all of their musical back rounds, the band undertook the task of creating a sound of their own. They began to play several shows around the city, after receiving praise from their peers and friends, the band felt they had become a part of something that could become much bigger. In February 2009 the band took two months off as Chris had a prior commitment to visit Australia. Upon his arrival home the band immediately hit the studio and have produced their first demo entitled, “Band Aids and Hand Grenades.” They are set to release the three-song demo at the end of June. Seconds From Disaster are ready to explode as they begin their wild ride into punk rock madness.
