The Ruined is a metal/hard rock trio based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba , Canada. They bring "the heavy", but also keep a sense of melody and groove. Vocals range from screams to beautiful 2 part harmonies. In a nutshell, they mix all styles and genres into one to make a sound unique to The Ruined.
The band currently has a live 10-song rehearsal recording ONLY available at shows due to demand for product. A full length CD will be in the works for the future, but not until the song line-up is "all killer, no filler". This band does not go in half-assed.
Spending most of 2010 gigging locally and playing with some notable acts such as SNFU, Cancer Bats, Comeback Kid, Dreadnaut as well as numerous indie touring bands. 2011 saw them complete their successful Western Candian "Hell On Wheels" tour. As a true testament to the determination and hard work the band puts forward and sheer love of music, no dates were missed on the tour DESPITE 2 members getting bronchitis and 1 getting pneumonia. The show must go on!
Christmas 2011 saw the band release a 45 minute low (meaning zero) budget DVD entitled "Bootlegs and Bullshit" which showcases tour highlights, local shows and various outtakes. The DVD can be viewed on the bands You Tube page which is linked below.
Their song "Soul Devoid" is be featured on the "Suicidal Bride Records Presents....Vol 1." compilation featuring some of Canada's best indie rock/metal.
