Biography

Scott Caron – Vocals
Pat Prole – Guitar
Randy Rose – Bass
Mike Diensch – Drums

City in Ruin is a hardcore metal band from Chatham, Ontario, Canada; that currently plays in the Southwestern area. Their mission is to create and play the best damn music they know to the local community and beyond. Pat, Mike and Randy have individually played with different bands, and actually played with each other in different bands, at different times, with different people. Pat and James Browning(original lead vocalist for CIR) were the founders of the band ‘The Alliance’, with having Mike and Randy play their roll in the band as well. However during a time point Mike and Randy went off and created/joined bands such as ‘As She Wrote’; Soon later, all band projects did not seem to work out with leaving everyone at a “single” band-material status. Eventually in June of 2006, these four individuals decided to play each other again, and from the first few practices original material got slipped around with eventually turning into their own songs. From there on, City in Ruin was created. The band then started playing shows and got on their feet rather quickly. However, two weeks before hitting the studio with David C. and Trace Studios, James parted ways from the band due to style-differences. However soon later, a good friend of the band, and CIR’s roadie, Steve Caron’s twin brother - Scott, was offered to take the spot and was gladly accepted. Now they had four unique elements in one single band playing in a town of which seemed to have bad luck for bands, a town of which seems like everything gets to be ruined; like a City in Ruin. Scott Caron brings a unique, and yet an amazing “demon” like scream. Don’t fool yourself from his height. Pat Prole brings a loud, modern, “in your face” guitar sound to the stages. His head banging energy cannot be matched. Randy Rose brings a tight, full, “ballsy” bass sound; along besides that he also does back-up screaming and melodic vocals. Mike Diensch literally holds the beat of your heart rate as he hits his drums hard and with passion. He has been well known for this “cannon” like double kick. After every show, more and more people have had their heads turned on this band for their creativity, sound and live performance.

hey hey there mr greg ahah i hear your comming to chatham right the fuck on... ahah man i hate people in chatham lol everyone procrastinates when buying tickets then it effects us... but there is a buzz going around about the show how many people will show i dunno i myself is going crraaazzzy ( spoken in a ridiculus manor.) haha but yeah hopefully we play a tight set.. were gonna be recording the whole weekend and stuff too so that should help us tighten... cause randy lives in london and pat in woodstock and all that fun shit... we got some new tunes to throw down too ahah.. this is more of a rant than a comment. ahah but anyways were gonna be throwing down beers in the parking lot... and such :) shh ahah last time we played at twisters everyone was superdrunk especially me and after the last song i tryed to stand up and i just fell into the drumset and knocked things over it was cool so i got a rep to live up to this time as well :) ahah thats all for now i guess but i could rant for years more.

peace and pizza greese
-Mike.

it just kinda fell into our laps... lol. this sounds cocky and all. but e veytime supernova came to chatham we won.. and everytime we play in chatham theres an audience for our set then everyone peaces.. so the production company putting on this show called me and asked if we would like to open for the show. so naturally we said yes...
we played with faber drive today as well...i wont get into detail tho :) lol... pretty much there the like drama queens and if they dont get there way they cry ahaha.
