i agree with what you guys are saying split vision, that it sounds like were all calling eachother out and stuff. but its really the only way to regulate the voting, the admins dont nessisarily check unless they get complaints (i may be wrong about this) and since the new site has been up we dont know exactly how everything works, so were all a bit edgy. speaking on behalf of my band i have nothing againts any of the other bands in the competition, but were all trying to keep it fair. i dont think anybody has went out of their way to cheat this competion and weve called for a review of our own voting logs quite a few times. we just wanna this voting to be clean. ps. when does this acctually close?

umm, why does the Fate Prevailed band have so many votes from the same IP. two of the users have the same name (james, jimmy). doesn't look right at all. the overtones also have two salvationarmyist votes...
theovertoneswroteJun 08/07
ah man, salvationarmyist voted twice on our account. i'm actually getting complaints from fans because voting isn't working for them. so then they try again and both votes show up. sometimes none of the votes go through. i've lost 5 votes that way. is anyone else experiencing this? please take down the extra vote Bob, The Overtones

i think bands need to tell their friends not to vote more than once. as much as they think theyre helping us out, they're just creating unnecessary rivalries and hostilities between bands because everyone wants to win and everyone is accusing everyone else of being cheaters. I don't understand why one user can vote more than once (the site shouldn't allow that...but this site IS new). I think if the Supernova staff just checked out the winner's voting log once the polls closed then everyone could stop harrassing them. As long as everyone understood that the winners were under review and that if there was cheating, the winners could change (the other winner would then have their voting log reviewed) then i think it could work. It's like the olympics, you don't get tested for heroin while you're running. Just my thought. The Overtones

if someone could delete one of the tellmebaby votes off our the overtones and renegades voting logs, it would be appreciate. my friend voted and the site glitched so she thought her vote didn't go through. i'm assuming this could explain all the other votes by the same users.

Hey Fate Prevailed, Thanks for pointing out that we have a couple votes from the same user/IP. I noticed it too. I was going to email Sarah about that actually. I don't want to win if it's not fair (afterall this is a People's Choice Award, not a Person's choice Award). That's why i was also going to mention to her that your band has an outstanding ten votes from the same IP address. I know that you won't mind since we both obviously want this to be a fair game. So good luck! Bob, The Overtones
