The Shift

Originally hailing from Welland, ON, Tom, Ian, Dave and Mike combine pure raw talent with dedication and an eclectic pool of music. Drawing from the likes of The Deftones, Rage Against the Machine,Clutch,Black Sabbath,Lamb of God, and Pantera, there is no wonder why this band is creating such a stir! The Genius of Flow, Tommy Tantrum staples down lyrics that draw from mixing gritty street rap verses with in your face hard rock, while Ian Labrie pumps out metal driven guitar power riffs that are complimented by a wide range of forged rhythms. The band is rounded out nicely by the deep and melodic bass lines of Dave Carrier, while the backbone of the band comes from Mike Marasco on drums with his metronome like timing and heart pounding beats. With such a well rounded line-up, you can't help but be attracted to such a power group! The Shift's live show is a contagious blend of emotional energy and epic like anthems which quickly controls the pace of everyone's beat.
